Our friend, Mark Ferguson, threw a fundraiser at a trout fishing camp that could be compared to be something like a country club for fishermen. It was a wonderful lodge with a restaurant and private club in it, and beautiful scenery. Many of the attendees at this event were not your traditional fundraiser attendees and it was a wonderful evening, complete with beer from a microbrewery and a wonderful country-western band that played Patsy Cline music. Also joining our candidate in her speeches were Lou Katz, candidate in the congressional district, and Mary Jane Trapp, candidate for the Eleventh District Court of Appeals. We had a wonderful night and ended up staying at the fundraiser about 4 1/2 hours.

As we were leaving the fundraiser, we stopped by a nearby Giant Eagle and picked up a few necessary items to use at the Residence Inn where we were staying for the evening. Our candidate began working on a speech she was going to give for the Ohio Democratic Party, and the next thing we knew, it was 1:00 a.m. We hurried off to bed knowing we had a very full day the next morning.
