Coalition of Black Trade Unionists - Toledo, Ohio

Are we going to be late?! It was one of those mornings when we woke up and no matter what we tried to do, we just seemed to get further and further behind schedule. We had gone to bed later than usual and everything we did this morning, seemed to throw us further and further behind. When we were finally loaded into the war wagon, we had to miss breakfast with our friends and pick up some McDonald's breakfast food. As the war wagon raced north towards Toledo, it was a beautiful day and the scenery around State Route 23 was exquisite. Our candidate slept, but your correspondent was on edge and racing to ensure that we were not late for a meeting of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. Our candidate gave a rousing two-minute speech and was well received by the statewide group.

We ran into an old friend, Laura Crumbaker, who had formerly worked at our law firm about 9 years ago and has been working for AFSCME for the last 8 years.

After we rushed so hard to make the event, it was sort of anti-climatic as we traveled across the Ohio Turnpike towards our next events in Cleveland.
