Richland County, Fairgrounds

We arrived a half-hour ahead of schedule for the Richland County Fair, so we had a few moments to sample the good fair food, enjoying the bison hot dogs and bison burgers, along with some lemon shake-ups. Your correspondent even got a roasted ear of corn, which he had missed the opportunity to have at the State Fairgrounds. We then made our way to the Democratic booth and created enough bustle and congestion at the booth that some of the neighboring exhibitors were a little concerned about the amount of space that was being taken up. Our candidate even had an on-camera interview with a local Mansfield television station while we were at the booth meeting and greeting voters. We were sorry to say good-bye to the fair, but we had other events to attend yet that day. We finished with a brief tour of the horse barns and met a number of horse enthusiasts who were showing and participating in the horse wait pool at the Richland County Fair before heading back to the war wagon.
